It's been a while since we've heard anything new from PAULA ABDUL on the radio, but that doesn't mean the former pop diva hasn't kept herself extremely busy these days! ET caught up with Paula on the set of 'Black Knight,' the latest MARTIN LAWRENCE comedy, where she was choreographing a big medieval dance/hip-hop number!
No stranger to the film world, the former L.A. Lakers cheerleader and chart-topping singer has choreographed scenes for such diverse films as 'Coming to America' and 'The Doors' to 'American Beauty' and 'Jerry Maguire,' not to mention dozens of music videos. In front of the camera, she has starred in the TV movies "Touched By Evil" and "The Waiting Game," and has made numerous guest appearances on shows such as "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" and "The Single Guy."
The Grammy Award-winning entertainer released a greatest hits cd last year and is also hard at work on her next album, tentatively titled Ticks of Love.
In 'Black Knight,' Martin Lawrence plays a "Medieval World" theme-park employee who gets accidentally conked over the head and wakes up in the real deal -- 14th century England! Directed by GIL JUNGER, the man who brought you '10 Things I Hate About You,' this lighthearted tale takes its cue from MARK TWAIN's timeless classic, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
Also starring 'The Full Monty''s noble TOM WILKINSON, 'Black Knight' jousts into theaters this fall.
