Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers is Disney’s 2022 live-action/animated comedy film, released on Disney+ May 20, 2022. Set decades after the characters’ original television series, the film follows Chip and Dale as they reunite to solve a mystery involving their missing friend.
The film is filled with animation-history cameos and references. Paula Abdul and her celebrated animated dance partner MC Skat Kat share an especially memorable moment, bringing the world of Paula’s “Opposites Attract” music video into the story.
Paula Abdul & MC Skat Kat
The cameo reunites Paula with the cat who danced opposite her in the groundbreaking 1989–90 “Opposites Attract” era. The film playfully crosses live action and animation in the same spirit as the original music video.
Paula is also credited as the voice of a 3-D reporter. The Disney film is directed by Akiva Schaffer.
