Paula Abdul’s third single from Spellbound was the ballad “Blowing Kisses in the Wind.” The song was released commercially on October 17, 1991. It was written by Peter Lord.
Lord played ”Blowing Kisses In The Wind” on a piano during a meeting at the home of a label executive and Paula immediately fell in love with it and wanted to record it for the album.
The song was another popular hit for Abdul, peaking at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at #4 in Canada.
The video was directed by BIG TV! aka Andy Delaney and Monty Whitebloom and produced by Jeremy Barrett for Limelight.
Paula's friend and fellow Laker Girl Cindy Picker choreographed the video.
The music video features Abdul dancing on a theater stage, ballet-style with aerial dynamics that were also incorporated in her world tour. Like her other videos it was in heavy rotation on MTV.
The video was released commercially on VHS and is available for download on the U.S. iTunes store.

Blowing Kisses In The Wind
So tell baby tell
Your true heart
Say what you say
When you're all alone
I'm trying, Trying to try
And feel you
And see if I see, I'm feeling alone
And all I want is, To get through
So baby, you'd see that the
Way you're leaving me, It won't do
It's like I'm...
Chorus:
Blowing kisses in the wind
Giving you love that you
Haven't been given
I cross my heart
And hope to die
I'm only wishing you'd
Love me like I
Blowing kisses in the wind
Waiting, waiting, waiting
Waiting for you is
Like blowing, blowing kisses
So please baby, please
Release me
If time after time, Your heart's growing cold
I'm saying, If you don't believe
In believing
Then how could true love, Ever be so
And all I want is, To get through
So maybe you'd see that the
Way you're leaving me, It won't do
It's like I'm
Chorus
