BROOKLYN - Paula Abdul was the latest high-profile visitor to Brooklyn students as part of the national Turnaround Arts program.
Abdul, a singer, dancer and former “American Idol” judge, is one of four celebrity mentors working with students for the program.
She met with students at the Brooklyn Museum Wednesday and helped them produce a music video.
Turnaround Arts is a national program to bring art, music, theater and dance to underprivileged schools. It's spearheaded by President Barack Obama.
Supporters say that arts education boosts students in other academic areas.
