Destination Imagination is thrilled to announce that internationally acclaimed singer, dancer and choreographer Paula Abdul is teaming up with Dr. Bill Dorfman, entrepreneur, celebrity dentist and founder of the LEAP foundation, for an official Global Finals Skills Workshop for students.

 

Paula Abdul is a ground-breaking choreographer, dancer, songwriter, performer, designer, actor and business woman. She is a two-time Emmy award winner, Grammy award winner, American Music Award winner, and multi-platinum recording artist who has been entertaining her fans for over 25 years. After saying goodbye to “American Idol” in 2010 and serving as executive producer and creative partner for the CBS reality-competition series “Live To Dance,” Abdul returned to network television in September 2011 with FOX’s highly anticipated “X-Factor.” She was a reoccurring guest star on the Lifetime hit series “Drop Dead Diva,” a lead judge in 2014 on “So You Think You Can Dance Australia” and will next be seen on the panel alongside Nigel Lythgoe and Jason Derulo on the U.S. version of this hit dance competition show in June 2015.

 

More recently, Abdul has become one of the top public speakers in the industry, touring the country to bring her own passion, drive and work experiences to the lives of those walking the halls of companies throughout America including Pepsico Women CEO’s , Cigna Health, Jewish Federation for Women, Empower 180 and Genius Network.

 

At Global Finals, Abdul and Dr. Bill Dorfman will host the Win Against All Odds workshop, sharing personal stories, tips and strategies for students on how to achieve success in all aspects of life.

 

The workshop is free and will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Thompson-Boling Area, located on the University of Tennessee campus.

 

Dr. Bill Dorfman will also host an additional free workshop for students and adults on the secrets to preparing for and nailing a job interview. The How to Nail the Job workshop will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 22 at the Thompson-Boling Arena. Dr. Dorfman will also be joined live via Skype by Keegan Allen, who plays Toby on the hit ABC series “Pretty Little Liars.”

 

Dr. Dorfman has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years and dedicated his life to helping others. He has been featured on TV shows including ABC’s “Extreme Makeover,” CBS’s “The Doctors,” ABC’s “Good Morning America” and NBC’s “Access Hollywood.”

 

He has been a highly sought after motivational leader for young adults, author of the New York Times Best Seller, “Billion Dollar Smile,” and is the co-founder of Discus Dental–one of the world’s leading dental companies whose products BriteSmile, Zoom!, Nite White and BreathRx have become household names worldwide.
