Kylie Minogue and Paula Abdul finally spent some quality time together at Sunday night’s (April 27) Logie Awards, which is the Australian equivalent of the People’s Choice Awards. The pop icons’ careers have overlapped several times throughout the years, so it was nice to see them in the same room together.
The twists of fate that link the lovely ladies? Well, Paula co-wrote Kylie’s career-reviving 2000 hit “Spinning Around”. That song returned the Kiss Me Once songbird to number one on the Australian and UK singles chart after a lengthy absence. Interestingly, the “Straight Up” songstress attempted her own comeback in 2009 by releasing “I’m Just Here For The Music” — a song Ms. Minogue demoed for her 2003 LP Body Language.
Kylie and Paula were joined by fellow club queen Dannii Minogue and the timeless trio hammed it up backstage at the event. See their adorable social media pictures below.
Should the dance divas collaborate on a song together?
