We know that emotions always run high on the X Factor. But we're not talking audition nerves or bickering between the judges... Paula Abdul - who's in London to help judge the auditions - has caused a stir with some rather diva-like behaviour.

First off, she arrived at the set at 6pm for a 10am start.

A show insider told The Sun: "Her people said she was feeling shattered due to her jet lag, so we started without her.

"When she did turn up, she seemed shocked when the crew talked to her.

"On America Idol the judges are treated like gods but on X Factor everyone mucks in. She seemed bemused.

"But she checked into her swanky hotel as Donna Prima, so obviously she can have a laugh at herself at times."

The new X Factor series starts in August on ITV 1.
