Elizabeth and Ariel Glaser
In 1987 Paula Abdul met Ariel Glaser on the set of the movie, “Running Man” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ariel’s father was the director.
While on set, Ariel showed an interest in the dancers that Paula was working with on the film. She was only 7 years old when she died from AIDS in 1990. Because of this, The Pediatric AIDS Foundation grew through the efforts of Ariel’s mom, Elizabeth.
In 1991 Walt Disney Records partnered with The Pediatric AIDS Foundation to release “For Our Children,” a collection of lullaby’s for children. All profits made from the album benefited the Pediatric Aids Foundation.
Paula Abdul joins a star-studded cast of celebrities on the “album of a lifetime” to benefit the organization.
"For Our Children - The Concert".
Paula contributed the song, “Good Night My Love”, which was written and produced by Don Was. The song can also be found as a B-side on Paula’s “Will You Marry Me?” single.
One beautiful afternoon, an incredible group of stars and musicians came together to perform a live concert for families to benefit The Pedatric AIDS Foundation.
Paula Abdul contributed to “For Our Children- The Concert” by recording the classic “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” and creating a music video which also starred children infected with the deadly virus.

Paula Abdul starts off the concert with “magical funkiness” in her jazzed-up music video version of the Disney Classic, “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.”
After the song ends an intro is played and Paula appears on the stage as if out of nowhere. Paula Abdul is the first host of the evening and really gets the crowd going! She finishes by introducing “Kris Kross” and their “Krossed-Out Version of a Nursery Rhyme.”
In addition to the albums and concert special. The Pediatric Aids Foundation also published a book which contained the lyrics to the lullaby’s sung on both albums.
Originally published by Walt Disney Records, Rhino Records re-released the album as “For Our Children: 10th Anniversary Edition” on October 19th, 1999.

Goodnight My Love (Pleasant Dreams)
Good night, my love
Good night, my love
Good night, my love
Pleasant dreams and sleep tight my love
May tomorrow be sunny and bright
And bring you closer to me
Before you go
There's just one thing I want to know
Is your love still warm for me
Or has it gone cold?
If you should awake
In the still of the night
Please have no fears
I'll be there
You know I care
Please give your love to me, dear
Good night, my love
Pleasant dreams and sleep tight my love
May tomorrow be sunny and bright
And bring you closer to me
Good night, my love
Good night, my love
Good night, my love
